encourage the formation of CIS/AIS affiliated local iris clubs and groups and you may list
your events here. Get some iris gardening friends together, name your club
and join the CIS. Create your own local iris sales, shows and other iris
events. Have fun! Even if you are just trying to start a club you could
post the contact info here for interested people in your area to refer to.

Southern Ontario Iris Society (SOIS) Iris Show and Picnic (CIS affiliate group)
Presents: 3rd Annual Iris Show
Time: 1:00p.m. through 3:30p.m.
Location:Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG), 680 Plains Road West, Burlington,
Free admission to the iris show. Your attendance is welcomed.
Show takes place within the RBG, there may be an entrance fee to enter the RBG.

Southern Ontario Iris Society (SOIS) Iris Sale (CIS affiliate group)
We welcome you to attend our sale.
Come out, say hello and pick up some really excellent high quality
irises at this event. The plants on offer are only American Iris Society
(AIS) registered and named iris cultivars. Ask us about the iris that
sale or feel free to ask iris growing questions and we'll be glad to
advise and help.
The SOIS Iris Sale is held as a fund raiser and the sale is open to the public. The SOIS relies on the generous donations from members of registered
AIS iris varieties for this sale. Please ensure that the iris brought for the sale/exchange/trade are
correctly named AIS registered iris cultivars only please. Donations of
sale iris are gladly received. Your support is appreciated. The sale info plus a short informative article on how to dig, prepare and

The Royal Botanical Gardens,

Make a visit to RBG gardens part of your family day. Step into the
waist-high bearded irises and have your senses dazzled with wild colour
combinations. Explore the peony collection, perennial borders, the Barbara Laking Heritage Garden and the hosta walk.

Beausejour Daylily Gardens located in the town of Beausejour,
Manitoba, 46 km north-east of Winnipeg. This two-acre community garden
has something blooming from spring to snowfall. The Beausejour
Daylily Gardens is the only American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) Display
Garden on the prairies. It is also home to the most amazing collection
of iris and peonies. June – iris,
peonies, lilac, and cherry blossoms. July - lilies, delphiniums, and
daylilies. August – daylilies, mums, picnic site, lawn checkers,
bocce, and tourist information. website:
Our goal is to become an official iris display garden. Currently this is
a Zone 2b American Hemerocallis Society display garden and Canadian
Hemerocallis Society display garden.

OPEN each Friday and Saturday in May and the first weekend in June from 10:00
am to dark. Also, any time of year by appointment. Early in May, Rhodos
and Median iris are at their best and later in May and early June the
Tall Bearded and Siberians are blooming. (Note: a tour of three or four
Salt Spring gardens can be arranged if given two weeks notice).
